INCOME DOCUMENTATION EXEMPTION MAP

The map below shows the Mississippi counties determined as targeted counties for purposes of validating ERA applicants more easily based on selected variables from 2019 US Census Bureau data sets. The shaded counties are in greater need of assistance due to a larger percentage of their populations falling below the mean of the state compared to all other counties. Applicants residing in these counties should provide their total household income when such information is requested in the application and must attest that the information provided is true and correct.  However, due to the fact-based proxy process established by MHC, applicants in these areas counties are not required to submit additional documentation of household income.
